Visiting madosh! cafe in Shibuya

Me and my friend visited a restaurant named madosh! cafe. It is located just between Shibuya and Harajuku and it is about a ten minute walk from both stations. I took a movie showing the surroundings of the restaurant, but since I have trouble linking it to my blog, I will show some pictures instead.

The first thing we ordered was an avocado smoothie. I ordered mango flavor, and my friend ordered peach flavor. Although the color was green like avocados look like, the taste was rather fruit-like. The smoothie was very thick and needed power to suck it, but is was very good!

The next thing we ordered was fried avocado with ham and cheese. The idea of this dish was very unique. I always thought that avocados was eaten raw, so it was new to eat fried ones. The outside was very crunchy, and the inside was soft and delicious. It was something I had never tasted, and I really enjoyed it.

The main dish was avocado taco rice. On top of rice, there was some minced meat, avocados, tomatoes, lettuce and chips. The avocados were shaped into small balls and were very cute!! I enjoyed it very much, not only by the taste, but how it looked!

I had a very satisfying meal. I had fun chatting with my friend while eating delicious food. What a great dinner time!

Waitress

I watched a movie called Waitress during the winter break. The movie is fiction and it is about a woman named Jenna, who is a great pie cooker. She invents unique original pies and names them after her experiences in life. Jenna is upset about her marriage and the life with her husband because her husband Earl orders her and restricts Jenna in every way. When Jenna finds out that she is pregnant, she is not very happy or actually upset. She secretly hides money around the house, dreaming of escaping from her awful husband. Jenna has no love toward her baby and she is worried of becoming a mother. Jenna starts having an affair with her doctor knowing it is wrong. At the end of the movie, Jenna is happy with her baby and decides to live with the two of them. She ends both relationships with her husband and the doctor and opens her own pie diner.

I thought this movie was heartwarming. I prefer happy endings than sad ones (I guess most people do) so I was relieved to find out that this movie ended happily. Even though the movie was touching and sweet, I would say the movie was OK. It was not especially good or bad, so I would not recommend it. The movie was too normal so I think it would've been better if it had more catchy scenes.
